IT Sales Executive - Regional

As an experienced IT Sales Executive, you will have a proven sales background with considerable experience in the technology sector and a track record of developing your own successful sales pipeline and generating quality leads, which meet the profile of ideal clients for HW Technology.

 

You will be required to have knowledge and understanding of working with a CRM System and proven experience in generating new business and closing sales to contract.

 

As a sales executive, you'll need to:

  • Understand HWT’s client profile to produce desired client leads
  • Self-generate prospects, leads and opportunities to build a sales pipeline
  • Cold call to arrange meetings with potential clients to prospect for new business
  • Respond to incoming email and phone enquiries, follow up on all leads in your sales region
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing client leads in person and via telephone calls and emails
  • Listen to and understand the needs of your clients and apply relevant product knowledge and appropriate solutions to meet those needs and make a sale, including liaison with internal resources to develop suitable solutions for prospects.
  • Present the products and/or services favorably, in a structured professional way, face-to-face or on the phone
  • Follow the HWT sales process
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
  • Gather market and customer information
  • Challenge any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy appropriate services and solutions
  • Make accurate, rapid, cost calculations and provide customers with quotations
  • Handover completed sales to the project and operations teams

In addition, you'll be required to:

  • Negotiate on some limited aspects of price, cost, delivery time and specification with buyers and managers
  • Record sales and order information into the CRM system and provide the BDM with regular pipeline updates
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Feed future buying trends back to employers
  • Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Manage your own time to ensure you are able to provide the appropriate services required by prospects
  • Attend team meetings and share best practice, trends and learnings with colleagues
  • Maintain accurate, complete records of your time, expenses and travelling
  • Hand over client management on completion of sales to Key Account Managers

Requirements of the role

Experienced within a Sales Executive role and used to working to targets

Proven track record in contributing to increased client base, business development and winning new business

Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads

An understanding of the challenges facing the industry at present and knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed within the industry

Full Driving license

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients ( up to senior management levels, using appropriate and professional language)

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

  Ability to work independently and to carry out tasks to completion along with following prescribed routines and standard practices

 

Other Requirements:

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

Must be able to talk, listen and be clear and concise in all telephone and written communications

Must complete all necessary paperwork and administrative tasks as required by your work focused on the CRM System and all peripheral administrative tasks for this role in a clear and accurate manner

Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.

Head Office and your line manager are based in Chorley, there will be regular travel to this location required for this role.
